ResMed AirCurve 10 CS PaceWave — CPAP Machine Australia — Sleep Apnea NDIS Funded

Introducing the ResMed AirCurve 10 CS PaceWave The ResMed AirCurve 10 CS PaceWave is an advanced, adaptive servo-ventilator specifically designed to treat patients with central sleep apnea (CSA), mixed sleep apnea, and periodic breathing, with or without obstructive sleep apnea. This device offers highly personalized therapy for patients struggling with complex breathing patterns during sleep. Key Features: Clinically-Studied ASV Algorithm: The AirCurve 10 CS PaceWave features the most clinically-studied adaptive servo-ventilation (ASV) algorithm in the field. This makes it the only ASV device that targets the patient’s recent minute ventilation, delivering highly effective and tailored therapy. ASVAuto Mode: The innovative ASVAuto mode adapts to the patient’s ventilatory and upper airway needs on a breath-by-breath basis. By offering auto-adjusting Pressure Support for central breathing disorders and auto-adjusting Expiratory Positive Airway Pressure (EPAP) for upper airway obstructions, it ensures seamless treatment of complex breathing issues. Improved Sleep Quality: By quickly stabilizing breathing patterns and optimizing blood gases, the ResMed AirCurve 10 CS PaceWave helps patients achieve better sleep quality. This can lead to improvements in overall health, daytime energy, and cognitive function. PaceWave Technology: The PaceWave feature ensures the device continuously responds to the patient's unique needs throughout the night, making it the most clinically-proven ASV therapy available. The ResMed AirCurve 10 CS PaceWave is ideal for patients who require adaptive support to manage central and mixed sleep apneas. With its advanced technology and highly personalized therapy delivery, it represents a leading solution in managing complex sleep-disordered breathing.

About This Product

The ResMed AirCurve 10 CS PaceWave is a complex bilevel device with a unique PaceWave ventilation mode that delivers breath pacing assistance to patients with irregular breathing patterns including Cheyne-Stokes respiration — a breathing pattern associated with heart failure. This machine is typically prescribed by a respiratory or cardiac specialist.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between CPAP, AutoCPAP, BiPAP, and VPAP?
CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure) delivers a single fixed pressure to keep the airway open during sleep. AutoCPAP (APAP) automatically adjusts pressure throughout the night in response to airway changes, making it more comfortable for many users. BiPAP (Bilevel PAP) provides a higher pressure on inhalation and a lower pressure on exhalation — suited to users who find CPAP exhalation uncomfortable, or who have higher pressure requirements. VPAP is ResMed's brand name for bilevel therapy. Your sleep physician or respiratory therapist will prescribe the appropriate mode based on your sleep study results.
Can a CPAP machine be funded through NDIS or Aged Care?
CPAP machines may be funded under NDIS Assistive Technology when prescribed by a sleep physician for diagnosed obstructive sleep apnea and where the sleep apnea significantly impacts the person's functional capacity. Aged Care Home Care Packages may also contribute to CPAP costs. Funding is assessed on a case-by-case basis. Our team can provide NDIS-compliant invoices and assist with the application process.
Do I need a humidifier with my CPAP machine?
Many CPAP users benefit from heated humidification, which warms and moistens the delivered air to reduce nasal dryness, congestion, and throat irritation — especially common in Australian climates with air conditioning. Many machines include an integrated humidifier (such as the ResMed AirSense range). If your machine supports an add-on humidifier, we recommend using one. Your sleep specialist can advise on whether humidification is recommended for you.
Can I use my CPAP machine when travelling?
Yes. Most modern CPAP machines are dual-voltage (100–240V) and can be used internationally with only a plug adapter. Travel-specific CPAP machines like the ResMed AirMini and BMC M1 Mini are ultra-compact for frequent travellers. Airlines generally allow CPAP machines as medical devices in carry-on luggage — check with your airline before travel. A letter from your prescribing physician is recommended.
What is the return policy?
Returns are accepted within 30 days for machines in original, unused condition. As CPAP machines are prescribed medical devices, please confirm the correct model and pressure settings with your sleep specialist before purchasing. If a machine arrives faulty or incorrect, we will resolve it promptly.
