Walking Aids

NDIS Registered #4050144759 Pharmacist-Led Fitting Same-Day Quotes

The wrong walking aid gets parked in the hallway while someone goes back to holding the furniture. That is how falls happen. The right one, fitted to your height and your streets, keeps you moving on your own terms.

Every walker, frame, stick and crutch below is chosen and fitted by our pharmacists. NDIS funded, quoted same day, with free in-home trials across Wollondilly, Macarthur, the Southern Highlands and greater Sydney.

Which walking aid is right for you?

The honest two-minute version. When in doubt, call 1300 216 888 and describe a normal day; we will tell you exactly which one fits it.

Rollator walkers

Four wheels and a built-in seat. Best for shopping trips, footpaths and anyone who needs to sit and rest partway. Suits moderate balance trouble and heart or lung conditions that demand breaks. Browse rollators

Walking frames

No wheels, maximum stability. The right start after surgery, or when balance needs full support and you are taking weight through your arms. Slower, and that is the point. Browse frames

Forearm walkers

Support moves up to padded forearm gutters, so wrists and arthritic hands stop carrying the load. Also used to train an upright walking pattern in neurological conditions. Browse forearm walkers

Walking sticks and quad sticks

For mild steadying. A quad stick stands on four feet and holds itself up; a single point suits faster walkers. One pharmacist detail most shops miss: some medications raise fall risk in ways that change which stick we recommend. Browse sticks

Crutches

Short-term support after injury or surgery, when the doctor says partial or no weight on one leg. We fit both height adjustments before they ship, because badly set crutches ruin wrists in a week. Browse crutches

Not sure? That is normal.

Most people arrive here somewhere between a stick and a rollator. The wrong guess gets abandoned in a hallway. Call 1300 216 888 and one of our pharmacists will settle it in two minutes, or book a free in-home trial and let your own driveway decide.

Walking aids and the NDIS, answered plainly

Can I get a walking aid funded through the NDIS?

Yes. Rollators, frames, forearm walkers, sticks and crutches are funded as Assistive Technology where they are reasonable and necessary for your disability. Most walking aids are low cost AT, which means your core budget covers them without a formal quote. Our pharmacists check your situation and, where a quote is needed, send an NDIS-compliant one the same day, usually within 2 hours. The full detail is in our NDIS funding guide.

Do I need an OT assessment first?

Not always. For standard sticks and basic frames, an AT advisor's input is generally enough. Where falls risk or clinical complexity is in the picture, a rollator or forearm walker may call for an occupational therapist's assessment. Tell us what you are dealing with and we will point you down the right pathway before anyone spends money on the wrong one.

Can I try before I buy?

Yes, and for walkers we insist on it. We bring rollators and selected frames to your home across Wollondilly, Macarthur, the Southern Highlands and greater Sydney, set the height for you, watch how it handles your actual floors and driveway, and leave you with trial documentation for your AT report. Free, no obligation. Book a trial here, or try everything in our Picton showroom.

What brands do you stock?

Aspire, Coopers, Smik and Care Quip lead the range, from the Ninja Carbon lightweight rollator to double adjustable elbow crutches. Every product is priced within the current NDIS AT price limits, and if something specific is prescribed that we do not stock, we will source it or tell you who has it.

How fast can I get a quote?

Within 2 hours of your referral during business hours. Every quote includes the correct NDIS support item number, unit price and clinical justification, ready for plan manager submission without the back-and-forth. Plan managers tell us this is why they keep sending people here.

Still holding the furniture on the way to the kettle?

Tell us about a normal day. Our pharmacists will match the aid to it, quote it for your NDIS plan the same day, and bring it to your door to try. No pressure, no obligation.

Why families choose us for walking aids

We started Connect Mobility because we lived the other side of it: the 11pm browser tabs, the supplier who never called back, the walker that arrived set to the wrong height and stayed that way.

Every walking aid we sell is chosen and fitted by registered pharmacists. That matters more than it sounds. Balance is never just a leg problem; medications, blood pressure and fatigue all change which aid is safe for you. We look at the whole picture, then tell you exactly what we would buy for our own family, including when that is the cheaper option.

Simple from the first call

How it works

1. Tell us about a normal day. Call 1300 216 888 or send an enquiry. Two minutes of pharmacist questions beat an hour of catalogue reading.

2. We match and quote, same day. The right aid for your body, your home and your NDIS plan, with the correct support item number and clinical justification on the quote.

3. Trial it at home. We bring it to your door, set the height properly and let your own floors make the decision. Free across Wollondilly, Macarthur, the Southern Highlands and greater Sydney.

4. Funded and delivered. Plan managed, self managed or agency managed, the paperwork goes through clean the first time. Delivery is 2 to 5 business days Australia-wide, free over $500 Sydney-wide.

OTs and support coordinators: send your referral to info@connectmobility.com.au and the quote is back within 2 business hours. Zero chasing, ever.
