Bongo Rx EPAP Therapy Device Starter Kit — Sleep Aids Australia — Anti-Snoring & CPAP Accessories

Bongo Rx Sleep Therapy EPAP Device for Mild to Moderate OSA and Snoring The Bongo Rx Sleep Therapy EPAP Device offers an effective, non-invasive treatment for mild to moderate Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) and snoring. This reusable nasal device provides an alternative to CPAP therapy for individuals who prefer or cannot tolerate traditional PAP devices. Key Features: EPAP Therapy: The Bongo Rx creates Expiratory Positive Airway Pressure (EPAP) by using soft nasal valves. These valves generate back pressure during exhalation to keep the airway open. Enhanced Breathing: During inhalation, the device’s small valves open to allow normal airflow. During exhalation, specially designed vents create resistance, expanding the airway for better sleep quality. Portability: The compact design makes the Bongo Rx easy to carry and use, providing a convenient option for travel and daily life. Comfortable Fit: Available in four sizes (Small, Medium, Large, X-Large), the device includes a range of fittings to ensure a comfortable, personalized fit. Included Accessories: The starter kit comes with a hard travel case, headgear, and a drying stand for ease of use and maintenance. Important Note: The Bongo Rx is suitable for individuals with an AHI (Apnea-Hypopnea Index) of 30 or lower. It is not recommended for those with severe OSA, where the AHI exceeds 30 episodes per hour. The Bongo Rx provides an effective alternative to CPAP therapy, offering comfort and ease of use for managing sleep apnea and snoring. Includes 4x size devices (SM, MED, LG, XLG) Hard travel case Headgear Drying stand

About This Product

The Bongo Rx EPAP Therapy Starter Kit includes the Bongo Rx device and initial supply of nasal seals for commencing Expiratory Positive Airway Pressure (EPAP) therapy for mild-to-moderate obstructive sleep apnea. The Bongo Rx requires no machine, no power, and no mask — a nasal seal attaches over each nostril and a one-way valve creates expiratory resistance.

Frequently Asked Questions

What sleep aids are available and what do they do?
Our sleep aids range includes anti-snoring mouthpieces (Hushd, SnoreMD) that reposition the jaw to reduce snoring, the Bongo Rx EPAP device which uses exhaled breath resistance to maintain airway patency without a machine, breathing trainers (Welcare Breatheasy) that strengthen respiratory muscles, CPAP pillows (Best In Rest) designed with cutouts to accommodate CPAP mask hoses, the AYO light therapy glasses for circadian rhythm management, and air purifiers for improved sleep environment quality.
How does the Bongo Rx EPAP device work?
The Bongo Rx is an Expiratory Positive Airway Pressure (EPAP) device. It uses a small nasal seal and a valve that creates resistance during exhalation, which generates positive pressure that keeps the airway open during the subsequent inhalation. Unlike CPAP, it requires no machine, no power supply, and no hose — making it suitable for travel or as a CPAP alternative for mild sleep apnea. A sleep physician should assess whether EPAP is appropriate for your level of sleep apnea.
Will an anti-snoring mouthpiece work for me?
Anti-snoring mouthpieces (mandibular advancement devices) work by repositioning the lower jaw slightly forward during sleep, which opens the airway and reduces the vibration that causes snoring. They are effective for many people with primary snoring or mild sleep apnea, but are not a substitute for CPAP therapy in people with moderate-to-severe obstructive sleep apnea. If you have not had a sleep study, we recommend speaking with your doctor before choosing a sleep aid.
Can sleep aids be funded through NDIS or Aged Care?
Some sleep aids may be funded under NDIS Consumables or Aged Care Home Care Packages when recommended by a treating health professional as part of a sleep health plan. Eligibility varies by product type. Our team can provide NDIS-compliant invoices and advise on funding options. Contact us on 1300 216 888.
What is the return policy?
Returns are accepted within 30 days for products in original, unused condition. For hygiene reasons, mouthpieces and nasal devices that have been used cannot be returned. If a product arrives faulty or incorrect, we will resolve it promptly.
