Frequently Asked Questions

Can an adjustable bed be funded through NDIS or Aged Care?
Yes, in many cases. Profiling and hi-lo adjustable beds are commonly funded under NDIS Assistive Technology (Higher Cost) when recommended by an occupational therapist. They are also fundable under Aged Care Home Care Packages. Our team can provide quotes addressed to your plan manager or support coordinator, and we work with OTs regularly to support the assessment process.
What is the difference between a hi-lo bed, profiling bed, and tilt-in-space bed?
A hi-lo bed adjusts the overall height of the sleeping surface — useful for safe transfers, carer access, and fall risk reduction. A profiling bed also adjusts the backrest and leg sections independently for positioning and comfort. A tilt-in-space bed tilts the entire sleeping surface as a unit, maintaining posture and reducing pressure — typically used for higher-care needs. Many clinical beds combine all three functions.
Does delivery include assembly and installation?
Most adjustable beds are delivered flat-packed and require assembly. Our team can arrange white-glove delivery with in-home assembly and setup for an additional fee — contact us when ordering to confirm availability in your area. Standard delivery is next business day dispatch to metro areas, with 2–7 business days for regional and rural locations.
What mattress should I use with an adjustable or profiling bed?
Most adjustable beds require a specific mattress that can flex with the profiling sections — a standard innerspring mattress will not work. We stock purpose-built foam, memory foam, and pocket spring mattresses designed to work with each bed. If you are purchasing a bed and mattress together, our team can confirm compatibility before you order.
What is the return and trial policy?
Returns are accepted within 30 days for products in original, unused condition. Due to hygiene reasons, mattresses cannot be returned once used unless faulty. If a product arrives damaged or faulty, we will arrange replacement or repair promptly. We recommend contacting our team before purchase if you have specific clinical requirements — we are happy to guide you to the right choice.
