About This Product

The Forearm Plus Walker is designed to support users in an upright walking position, promoting improved balance and gait stability while taking pressure off the hands and wrists. It is ideal for people with limited hand and wrist strength — including those managing arthritis, neurological conditions, or upper limb weakness following surgery or injury. Forearm gutter height adjusts from 960 to 1200 mm, and the hand grip adjusts to suit individual forearm length, allowing the walker to be precisely fitted for each user to minimise wrist strain and maximise comfort. One-piece urethane arm pads are removable and easy to clean — a practical feature for users in home environments or clinical settings where hygiene is important. The textured rubber handgrips provide additional grip security, particularly useful for users with reduced hand sensitivity or those who perspire. The sturdy frame folds almost flat for storage and transport, and four swivel castors provide smooth, responsive manoeuvrability on indoor flooring. The frame measures 640 mm wide by 820 mm deep and supports users up to 125 kg. Sheepskin gutter covers (HZ0050) are available as an optional accessory for users who require additional padding for skin protection or comfort. A rear glide variant (HC0180) is also available. The Forearm Plus Walker is NDIS-fundable under Assistive Technology supports and is regularly prescribed by occupational therapists as a long-term forearm walking solution for community-dwelling clients with moderate to significant mobility impairment.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this forearm walker NDIS-fundable?
Yes. Forearm walkers are fundable under the NDIS Assistive Technology — Low Cost category. We provide NDIS invoices and can assist with quotes for your plan manager or support coordinator. Contact us and we'll handle the paperwork.
What's the difference between a forearm walker and a standard walker?
A forearm walker supports your weight through your forearms and upper body, not just your hands and wrists. This makes it ideal if you have limited grip strength, arthritis, or hand pain. Your arms rest in padded gutters so you can walk with a more upright posture and less strain on your joints.
How long does delivery take?
In-stock orders are dispatched the next business day. Standard delivery is 2–5 business days to most metro areas. Express options are available at checkout. Rural and remote deliveries may take slightly longer.
Can I return it if it's not right?
Returns are accepted within 30 days, provided the product is brand new and unused in its original packaging. We're unable to accept returns for change of mind on used items. If you receive a faulty or incorrect product, we'll resolve it promptly — just get in touch and we'll take care of you.
Do you offer a trial before I buy?
Yes — we offer in-person trials at our Picton showroom, where you can try products before committing to a purchase. Can't make it to Picton? Contact our team and we'll do our best to find a solution that works for you, including referrals to local allied health professionals in your area.
