About This Product

The CuroCell Uno is a new generation alternating pressure mattress replacement system from Care of Sweden, used as an aid in the treatment of pressure injuries. It suits people at high risk who are cared for at home, in aged care or in hospital, and it supports body weights up to 250 kg. Air cells do the therapy while multiple layers of foam handle comfort and pressure distribution. The head cells stay static, so the head end feels settled while the rest of the mattress works. An integrated heel function takes load off the heels, and if a cell is ever damaged you replace that single cell, not the whole mattress. The fully automated pump adapts pressure to each user on its own. It runs silently, and its large screen carries a built-in instruction manual, which means carers are never left guessing at 2 am. Choose between three program modes, Alternating, Pulsating and CLP (Constant Low Pressure), and rely on sound and light alarms to flag low pressure or power failure. Some features earn their keep at pack-up time. Press one button and the Pack and Go function empties the mattress, with no kneeling on used equipment to squeeze the air out. The CPR function deflates rapidly in an emergency and doubles as a transport function, while air flow control keeps pressure constant and trims energy use. A multifunctional inner cover reduces shear forces on fragile skin. The four-way stretch outer cover meets European hygiene, quality and safety regulations, is vapour permeable and fluid resistant, and both mattress and cover machine wash at up to 95 degrees then tumble dry. Key features: • Active alternating system that aids the treatment of pressure related injuries • Air combined with multiple foam layers for comfort and pressure distribution • Static head cells and an integrated heel function for targeted offloading • Fully automated pump adapts pressure to each user • Silent pump with a large screen and built-in instruction manual • Three program modes: Alternating, Pulsating and CLP (Constant Low Pressure) • Sound and light alarms for low pressure or power failure • Air flow control for constant pressure and lower energy use • Individually replaceable air cells • Pack and Go function empties the mattress at the press of a button • CPR function with rapid deflation and transport function • Four-way stretch cover, vapour permeable and fluid resistant, with a shear-reducing inner cover • Mattress and cover machine washable to 95 degrees, tumble dry safe • Maximum user weight 250 kg

Frequently Asked Questions

Can this be funded through NDIS or Aged Care?
Yes, in most cases. Non-powered pressure relieving mattresses and overlays are commonly funded under NDIS Assistive Technology or Aged Care Home Care Packages when recommended by a clinician — typically an occupational therapist or wound care nurse. We are a registered NDIS provider and can supply quotes addressed to your plan manager or support coordinator.
What is the difference between an overlay, a mattress replacement, and an underlay?
An overlay sits on top of your existing mattress to add pressure relief — ideal for lower-risk users or as a first step. A mattress replacement removes your existing mattress entirely and provides a full clinical pressure care surface. An underlay sits beneath an alternating air overlay or mattress replacement to prevent 'bottoming out' and protect against pressure spikes. Our team can help you choose the right product for your clinical risk level.
How long does delivery take?
In-stock orders are dispatched the next business day. Standard delivery is 2–5 business days to most metro areas. Express options are available at checkout. Rural and remote deliveries may take slightly longer — contact us for an estimate.
Can I return it if it's not suitable?
Returns are accepted within 30 days for products in original, unused condition and packaging. Due to hygiene requirements, mattresses and overlays cannot be returned once used unless the product is faulty. If you are unsure which product is right for your clinical situation, we strongly recommend contacting our team before purchasing — we are happy to assist.
Can I trial the product before buying?
Yes — we offer in-person demonstrations at our Picton showroom. Can't make it to Picton? Contact our team and we'll do our best to help, including referrals to local allied health professionals in your area who can assist with product selection and trial.
