About This Product

The seat belt sits behind your shoulder, which is an awkward place to reach if your shoulder, wrist or hands do not move the way they once did. This reacher clips onto the belt and brings it forward by about 17cm. You take hold of it in front of you instead of twisting around for it. It attaches straight to the belt, so nothing gets installed and nothing in the car is modified. Use it on the driver or passenger side, front seats or rear. It comes as a pair, so you can set up two seats or keep one in a second car. It lifts off just as easily and travels with you. Key features: - Extends the reach of the seat belt by approximately 17cm - Reduces the twisting needed to grab the belt - Attaches to any seat belt, driver or passenger, front or rear - No permanent installation and no modification to the car - Supplied as a pair

Frequently Asked Questions

Who are daily living aids designed for?
Daily living aids are designed for anyone who finds tasks like dressing, grooming, or putting on stockings difficult due to reduced flexibility, limited range of motion, joint pain, or weakness. They are commonly used by people recovering from surgery, living with arthritis, Parkinson's, stroke, MS, or simply managing the effects of ageing.
Can daily living aids be funded through NDIS or Aged Care?
Yes. Many daily living aids are fundable under NDIS Assistive Technology (Low Cost) or Aged Care Home Care Packages when recommended by an occupational therapist as part of a home assessment. Our team can provide NDIS-compliant invoices and assist with the funding process.
What is the best aid for putting on stockings or compression socks?
We stock several stocking aid designs to suit different needs. The standard plastic gutter aid suits open-weave or loose socks. Fabric gutter aids (Soxon, Terry Towling) are gentler for delicate or compression hosiery. The Smik Medi Butler suits pantyhose and provides frame stability for those with low balance. An OT can help identify the right option for your stocking type and hand function.
Can I try before I buy?
Yes — we offer in-person trials at our Picton showroom for many products. Can't make it in? Our team can advise over the phone or via email, and our OT network can arrange a home assessment if needed. Contact us on 1300 216 888.
What is the return policy?
Returns are accepted within 30 days for products in original, unused condition. If a product arrives faulty or incorrect, we will resolve it promptly. Contact our team before purchase if you are unsure which product best suits your needs.
