About This Product

Underarm crutches carry your weight through the frame instead of the leg you are resting. These come in three sizes so the crutch suits your height rather than the other way around. Youth covers 137 to 157cm, adult covers 157 to 177cm, and tall covers 177 to 198cm. Maximum user weight is 120kg. Each crutch is height adjustable within its size, so you can fine tune the fit once you have the right pair. The rubber tips are reinforced and non slip, which matters on wet tiles and painted concrete. Tips, hand grips and underarm pads all come off and can be replaced when they wear, and with daily use the tips are usually the first to go. The frame is aluminium, so they are light to swing through. Key features: - Three sizes covering user heights 137cm to 198cm - Maximum user weight 120kg - Height adjustable within each size - Reinforced non slip rubber tips - Replaceable tips, hand grips and underarm pads - Lightweight aluminium frame

Frequently Asked Questions

Can crutches be funded through NDIS or Aged Care?
Yes, in many cases. Crutches can be funded under NDIS Low Cost Assistive Technology without requiring a full assistive technology assessment. They may also be covered under an Aged Care Home Care Package. Our team can assist with quotes and invoicing for plan managers and support coordinators.
What's the difference between elbow crutches and underarm crutches?
Elbow (forearm) crutches have a cuff that wraps around your forearm below the elbow, giving you more freedom of movement and making them more suitable for long-term daily use. Underarm crutches rest under the armpit and provide more support, making them common for short-term post-injury recovery. Your physiotherapist or OT can advise on which type suits your situation best.
How do I choose the right size?
For elbow crutches, the handgrip should sit at wrist height when you stand with your arms relaxed at your side, and the cuff should sit about 25–50mm below your elbow. For underarm crutches, there should be a 2–3 finger gap between the padded top and your armpit to avoid nerve damage. If you're unsure which size fits, contact our team and we'll help you select correctly.
How long does delivery take?
In-stock orders are dispatched the next business day. Standard delivery is 2–5 business days to most metro areas. Express options are available at checkout. Rural and remote deliveries may take slightly longer.
Can I return them if they don't suit?
Returns are accepted within 30 days for products that are brand new and unused in their original packaging. We recommend confirming the correct size with our team before ordering. If you receive a faulty or incorrect product, we'll resolve it promptly.
