About This Product

A shaped back cushion that sits between your lower back and the chair. It works on an armchair, a dining chair or a wheelchair backrest, so you can put it wherever you sit longest. The contour follows the curve of the lower spine and holds it there. That is the difference between getting up sore and getting up fine. The cushion measures 458mm wide, 420mm high and 64mm deep. Medium density PU foam gives support without feeling hard, and a plastic insert holds the shape so it does not flatten out. The cover is fabric and soft vinyl, and it resists water, so a spill wipes off instead of soaking in. This cushion is DVA approved. Key features: - Contoured shape supports the lower back in a chair or wheelchair - Medium density PU foam with a plastic insert to hold its form - Fabric and soft vinyl cover that resists water - Wipes clean after a spill - Measures 458mm wide, 420mm high and 64mm deep - DVA approved

Frequently Asked Questions

Who benefits from a back support or lumbar roll?
Back supports are suitable for anyone who experiences lower back pain, mid-back fatigue, or poor seated posture during extended sitting. They are commonly used by wheelchair users, people who work at a desk, and those recovering from back injury or surgery. A lumbar support promotes the natural inward curve of the lower spine, reducing muscle fatigue and disc pressure over time.
Can a back support be funded through NDIS or Aged Care?
Yes. Back supports used as part of a prescribed seating setup may be funded under NDIS Assistive Technology or Aged Care Home Care Packages when recommended by an occupational therapist or physiotherapist. Our team can provide NDIS-compliant invoices and assist with the funding process.
How do I choose the right back support?
The Swedish Back Support is a firm, compact lumbar roll ideal for chairs and cars where only lower back support is needed. The Obus Forme covers both the lumbar and mid-back regions and suits people with broader back support needs. The Apollo Back Support provides full-height support for the entire posterior back and suits wheelchair users or those who sit for very long periods. Contact our team for guidance on which best matches your chair and condition.
Will a back support fit my chair or wheelchair?
All back supports in our range include adjustable straps that allow them to be attached to most standard chair backs, wheelchairs, car seats, and office chairs. The Swedish Back Support uses an elastic strap; the Obus Forme and Apollo use buckle straps to secure to the chair back. Contact our team if you are unsure about compatibility with your specific chair.
What is the return policy?
Returns are accepted within 30 days for products in original, unused condition. If a product arrives faulty or incorrect, we will resolve it promptly. We recommend checking the dimensions and strap compatibility with your chair before purchasing, and contacting our team if unsure.
