About This Product

These are replacement hand grips for crutches, supplied as a pair. They are moulded from high density foam rubber, so they take the load through your palms rather than letting it sit on a hard edge. They fit both wooden and aluminium crutches. Grips wear down long before the crutch does. If yours have gone hard, split or started to slide on the tube, swapping them is a five minute job. Many people replace the tips and underarm pads at the same time so the whole crutch feels new again. Key features: - Sold as a pair - Suit both wooden and aluminium crutches - Moulded from high density foam rubber - Grey - Pair them with fresh crutch tips and underarm pads

Frequently Asked Questions

Can crutches be funded through NDIS or Aged Care?
Yes, in many cases. Crutches can be funded under NDIS Low Cost Assistive Technology without requiring a full assistive technology assessment. They may also be covered under an Aged Care Home Care Package. Our team can assist with quotes and invoicing for plan managers and support coordinators.
What's the difference between elbow crutches and underarm crutches?
Elbow (forearm) crutches have a cuff that wraps around your forearm below the elbow, giving you more freedom of movement and making them more suitable for long-term daily use. Underarm crutches rest under the armpit and provide more support, making them common for short-term post-injury recovery. Your physiotherapist or OT can advise on which type suits your situation best.
How do I choose the right size?
For elbow crutches, the handgrip should sit at wrist height when you stand with your arms relaxed at your side, and the cuff should sit about 25–50mm below your elbow. For underarm crutches, there should be a 2–3 finger gap between the padded top and your armpit to avoid nerve damage. If you're unsure which size fits, contact our team and we'll help you select correctly.
How long does delivery take?
In-stock orders are dispatched the next business day. Standard delivery is 2–5 business days to most metro areas. Express options are available at checkout. Rural and remote deliveries may take slightly longer.
Can I return them if they don't suit?
Returns are accepted within 30 days for products that are brand new and unused in their original packaging. We recommend confirming the correct size with our team before ordering. If you receive a faulty or incorrect product, we'll resolve it promptly.
