About This Product

Underarm pads wear flat, then they go hard, and then the top of the crutch starts digging in. Replacing them costs very little and makes an immediate difference. This is a pair, so both crutches get even padding at the same time. They suit aluminium crutches and wooden crutches. The pads are moulded from high density foam rubber, so they hold their shape under load instead of squashing down after a week. They come in grey. Slide the old pads off, slide the new ones on, then check both sit square before you put weight through them. Hand grips and crutch tips wear at a similar rate, so it is worth looking at those while you are at it. Key features: - Supplied as a pair so both crutches match - Fits aluminium and wooden crutches - Moulded from high density foam rubber - Holds its shape under repeated loading - Grey

Frequently Asked Questions

Can crutches be funded through NDIS or Aged Care?
Yes, in many cases. Crutches can be funded under NDIS Low Cost Assistive Technology without requiring a full assistive technology assessment. They may also be covered under an Aged Care Home Care Package. Our team can assist with quotes and invoicing for plan managers and support coordinators.
What's the difference between elbow crutches and underarm crutches?
Elbow (forearm) crutches have a cuff that wraps around your forearm below the elbow, giving you more freedom of movement and making them more suitable for long-term daily use. Underarm crutches rest under the armpit and provide more support, making them common for short-term post-injury recovery. Your physiotherapist or OT can advise on which type suits your situation best.
How do I choose the right size?
For elbow crutches, the handgrip should sit at wrist height when you stand with your arms relaxed at your side, and the cuff should sit about 25–50mm below your elbow. For underarm crutches, there should be a 2–3 finger gap between the padded top and your armpit to avoid nerve damage. If you're unsure which size fits, contact our team and we'll help you select correctly.
How long does delivery take?
In-stock orders are dispatched the next business day. Standard delivery is 2–5 business days to most metro areas. Express options are available at checkout. Rural and remote deliveries may take slightly longer.
Can I return them if they don't suit?
Returns are accepted within 30 days for products that are brand new and unused in their original packaging. We recommend confirming the correct size with our team before ordering. If you receive a faulty or incorrect product, we'll resolve it promptly.
