About This Product

This is a conversion kit for the Delta SC1 shower commode. It swaps the small rear wheels for large 24 inch wheels with handrims, so the person in the chair can propel themselves. For anyone with good arm strength, that is the difference between being wheeled and going when you decide to go. It supports up to 136kg maximum user weight. The wheels are quick release, so they pop off when you need to fit the chair through a narrow door or into a car. Solid tyres mean no punctures and nothing to pump up. Brake levers and wheel brackets are included in the kit, and the brackets bolt onto the existing SC1 frame. This kit fits the Delta SC1 only, so check your model before ordering. Key features: - Converts the Delta SC1 shower commode to self propelling - Pair of 24 inch quick release wheels - Solid tyres, so nothing to inflate and no punctures - Brake levers included - Wheel brackets included - Supports up to 136kg maximum user weight

Frequently Asked Questions

Who are daily living aids designed for?
Daily living aids are designed for anyone who finds tasks like dressing, grooming, or putting on stockings difficult due to reduced flexibility, limited range of motion, joint pain, or weakness. They are commonly used by people recovering from surgery, living with arthritis, Parkinson's, stroke, MS, or simply managing the effects of ageing.
Can daily living aids be funded through NDIS or Aged Care?
Yes. Many daily living aids are fundable under NDIS Assistive Technology (Low Cost) or Aged Care Home Care Packages when recommended by an occupational therapist as part of a home assessment. Our team can provide NDIS-compliant invoices and assist with the funding process.
What is the best aid for putting on stockings or compression socks?
We stock several stocking aid designs to suit different needs. The standard plastic gutter aid suits open-weave or loose socks. Fabric gutter aids (Soxon, Terry Towling) are gentler for delicate or compression hosiery. The Smik Medi Butler suits pantyhose and provides frame stability for those with low balance. An OT can help identify the right option for your stocking type and hand function.
Can I try before I buy?
Yes — we offer in-person trials at our Picton showroom for many products. Can't make it in? Our team can advise over the phone or via email, and our OT network can arrange a home assessment if needed. Contact us on 1300 216 888.
What is the return policy?
Returns are accepted within 30 days for products in original, unused condition. If a product arrives faulty or incorrect, we will resolve it promptly. Contact our team before purchase if you are unsure which product best suits your needs.
