About This Product

A mobile shower commode does two jobs with one chair. You sit to shower, and the same chair goes over the toilet or holds the pan when getting to the bathroom in time is the problem. The Delta SC1 is the lightweight model in this range. It rolls on 5 inch nylon castors front and rear, and the front brakes lock so the chair holds still while someone gets on or off. Maximum user weight is 136kg. Both the arm rests and the leg rests swing away. That clears the side of the chair for a sideways transfer and gets the leg rests out of the road when standing. The leg rests are removable as well, and a commode pan and lid are included with a seat cut out that lifts out when you do not need it. The chair is designed for even surfaces, with a maximum safe incline of 10 percent going up or down. If you want to self propel, the SC1 self propelling kit (17002) adds 24 inch quick release rear wheels. Key features: - 5 inch nylon front and rear castors with lockable front brakes - Swingaway arm rests for sideways transfers - Swingaway, removable leg rests - Commode pan and lid included, with a removable seat cut out - Maximum user weight 136kg - Optional 24 inch quick release rear wheels (kit 17002)

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this shower commode NDIS-fundable?
Yes. Mobile shower commodes are typically funded under the NDIS Assistive Technology — Higher Cost category. Our team can assist with NDIS quotes, OT recommendations, and plan manager invoicing. Contact us to start the process — we handle the paperwork so you don't have to.
Do I need an OT assessment to get one through NDIS?
For higher-cost assistive technology items like shower commodes, an Occupational Therapist (OT) assessment is usually required by the NDIS. We work closely with OTs and support coordinators across Australia. If you don't yet have an OT, our team can point you in the right direction.
Can it be used over a standard toilet?
Most models in our range are designed to position over a standard toilet pan, eliminating the need for the user to transfer between the commode and toilet. Check the product specifications for toilet bowl clearance height to confirm compatibility with your setup.
How is a shower commode delivered?
Shower commodes are delivered via standard or specialist freight depending on the size and weight of the model. After your order, our team will contact you to arrange a suitable delivery window. If you have specific access requirements — narrow doorways, stairs, or upper-floor delivery — let us know before ordering.
Can I return it if it's not right?
Returns are accepted within 30 days, provided the product is brand new and unused in its original packaging. We're unable to accept returns for change of mind on used items. If you receive a faulty or incorrect product, we'll resolve it promptly — just get in touch and we'll take care of you.
