About This Product

Adult wheelchairs are too wide and too deep for a child, and a chair that does not fit is a chair someone else has to push. The PA1 is a smaller self propelling wheelchair built for children and petite users, with 22 inch quick release rear wheels so they can drive it themselves. The arm rests adjust and lift out, which makes side transfers to a bed or the car far easier. The leg rests swing away for the same reason, and rear anti tip wheels are fitted as standard for extra security while a young user learns. User weight capacity is 125kg, the chair weighs 17kg, and it comes in blue only. If the fit looks too small, look at the PA2 as well. Key features: - Small self propelling frame designed for children and petite users - Adjustable, removable arm rests for easier side transfers - Swingaway leg rests - 22 inch quick release rear wheels - Rear anti tip wheels fitted for added security - User weight capacity of 125kg, DVA approved

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this wheelchair NDIS-fundable?
Yes. Manual wheelchairs can be funded under NDIS Assistive Technology — either Low Cost or Higher Cost depending on the chair and your support needs. Specialised or tilt-in-space chairs generally fall under Higher Cost. Our team can assist with quotes, OT referrals, and plan manager invoicing — contact us to get started.
How do I choose the right seat width?
Measure the widest point of your hips and thighs when seated, then add approximately 25–50mm for comfort. If you're between sizes, our team can help — contact us before ordering and we'll make sure you get the right fit. For complex needs, an OT assessment is recommended.
Can I trial one at your showroom?
Yes — we offer in-person trials at our Picton showroom. For NDIS-funded purchases, your occupational therapist may also need to assess and prescribe before purchase. Contact our team and we'll coordinate everything, including referrals to local allied health professionals if needed.
How long does delivery take?
In-stock orders are dispatched the next business day. Standard delivery is 2–5 business days to most metro areas. For larger or bariatric wheelchairs, our team will contact you to arrange a suitable delivery window. Rural and remote deliveries may take slightly longer.
Can I return it if it doesn't suit?
Returns are accepted within 30 days for products that are brand new and unused in their original packaging. We strongly recommend confirming the correct seat width with our team before ordering. For NDIS-funded purchases, please contact your plan manager before initiating a return.
