About This Product

A worn cane tip is a slip waiting to happen. The rubber goes smooth, the edge rounds off, and the cane starts sliding out from under you on tile and polished timber. This is a replacement tip, also called a ferrule, for walking canes with a 16mm diameter tube. Measure the tube itself, not the old tip, before you order. There is a 19mm version if yours is the larger size. The base is grooved, which clears water out from under the rubber and gives it something to bite with. Inside there is a metal washer insert that stops the end of the cane shaft wearing through the rubber from the inside. The tip is black, 30mm across the base and 45mm tall. Push the old one off, press the new one on firmly, and check it is seated all the way before you take weight. Key features: - Fits walking canes with a 16mm diameter tube - Grooved base to improve grip and reduce slipping - Metal washer insert included - Base 30mm diameter, height 45mm - Black - Also made in a 19mm version

Frequently Asked Questions

Can a walking stick be funded through NDIS or Aged Care?
Yes, in many cases. Walking sticks can be funded under NDIS Low Cost Assistive Technology without needing a full AT assessment. They may also be covered under an Aged Care Home Care Package. Our team can assist with quotes and invoicing for plan managers and support coordinators — just get in touch.
How do I choose the right height?
A correctly fitted walking stick should allow your elbow to bend at a comfortable angle (approximately 15–20 degrees) when you hold the grip with the tip on the ground beside your foot. As a rough guide, stand straight in your normal footwear and measure from the floor to your wrist crease — that's your stick height. If you're between sizes, contact our team and we'll help you get the right fit.
When should I replace the rubber tip?
Replace the rubber tip as soon as you notice significant wear or cracking — a worn tip dramatically reduces grip on smooth floors and increases fall risk. Replacement tips for most models are available separately. Contact our team if you're unsure which tip size fits your stick.
How long does delivery take?
In-stock orders are dispatched the next business day. Standard delivery is 2–5 business days to most metro areas. Express options are available at checkout. Rural and remote deliveries may take slightly longer.
Can I return it if it doesn't suit?
Returns are accepted within 30 days for products that are brand new and unused in their original packaging. We recommend confirming the correct size with our team before purchasing. If you receive a faulty or incorrect product, we'll resolve it promptly.
