About This Product

Bending to the floor is hard work with a sore back, a new hip or a stiff knee. This reacher does the bending for you. Squeeze the hand trigger and the jaw closes on whatever you are after. At 60cm it suits close range jobs: the floor beside your chair, the back of a bench, a sock at the end of the bed. The jaw rotates a full 360 degrees, so you turn the jaw to line it up instead of twisting your wrist. A slip resistant surface on the jaw holds smooth items, a hook on one side lifts clothing or keys, and a small magnet near the jaw picks up light metal things like a dropped fork. There is an extra lever above the hand grip if you need more grip force. The stick clip is removable and fastens the reacher to a wheelchair or walking frame so it travels with you. Key features: - 60cm length, also available in 75cm and 90cm - Easy hand trigger, with an extra lever for more grip - Jaw rotates 360 degrees so your wrist does not have to - Slip resistant jaw, hook for clothing and keys, magnet for light metal - Removable clip fastens it to a wheelchair or walking frame - Lightweight aluminium frame, DVA approved

Frequently Asked Questions

Who are daily living aids designed for?
Daily living aids are designed for anyone who finds tasks like dressing, grooming, or putting on stockings difficult due to reduced flexibility, limited range of motion, joint pain, or weakness. They are commonly used by people recovering from surgery, living with arthritis, Parkinson's, stroke, MS, or simply managing the effects of ageing.
Can daily living aids be funded through NDIS or Aged Care?
Yes. Many daily living aids are fundable under NDIS Assistive Technology (Low Cost) or Aged Care Home Care Packages when recommended by an occupational therapist as part of a home assessment. Our team can provide NDIS-compliant invoices and assist with the funding process.
What is the best aid for putting on stockings or compression socks?
We stock several stocking aid designs to suit different needs. The standard plastic gutter aid suits open-weave or loose socks. Fabric gutter aids (Soxon, Terry Towling) are gentler for delicate or compression hosiery. The Smik Medi Butler suits pantyhose and provides frame stability for those with low balance. An OT can help identify the right option for your stocking type and hand function.
Can I try before I buy?
Yes — we offer in-person trials at our Picton showroom for many products. Can't make it in? Our team can advise over the phone or via email, and our OT network can arrange a home assessment if needed. Contact us on 1300 216 888.
What is the return policy?
Returns are accepted within 30 days for products in original, unused condition. If a product arrives faulty or incorrect, we will resolve it promptly. Contact our team before purchase if you are unsure which product best suits your needs.
