ResMed AirFit F40 Full Face Mask — CPAP Mask Australia — Sleep Apnea Masks NDIS

Meet ResMed AirFit F40 Full Face Mask The ResMed AirFit F40 is the smallest tube-down full face mask, offering the flexibility to sink your head into soft bedding. With its lightweight and flexible frame, the AirFit F40 provides ultimate comfort. The patented AdaptiSeal™ cushion, made from soft silicone, moulds to your face and maintains a dynamic seal as you move or change positions in bed. ResMed AirFit F40’s Key Features: Enjoy a natural night’s sleep with the AdaptiSeal™ cushion, which adapts to your movements and keeps a secure seal. The flexible frame sits below your eyeline, allowing you to watch TV, read, or wear glasses without obstruction. Quick and easy fitting is possible with simplified headgear adjustment points. You only need to adjust two upper and two lower points. Magnetic clips easily snap together, making it simple to put on and take off the mask. Experience quiet nights with QuietAir™ diffused venting, which reduces noise and enhances comfort. The short tube on the mask moves with you, ensuring you can sleep in any position without restrictions. A quick-release elbow lets you quickly connect and disconnect from therapy during the night. The ResMed AirFit F40 is designed to fit various head shapes and facial profiles, being the first ResMed mask developed using 3D scan technology. During the design process, ResMed used 3D scans of real users to analyse diverse facial structures. This innovative approach ensures the mask fits comfortably and adapts to a wide range of users.

About This Product

The ResMed AirFit F40 Full Face Mask is ResMed's most minimal-contact full face mask, featuring an under-nose cradle that covers just the mouth and seals below the nostrils. The F40 provides full face coverage for mouth-breathers while maintaining the smallest possible footprint of any ResMed full face mask.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between nasal, full face, and pillow masks?
Nasal masks cover the nose only and are suitable for users who breathe through their nose during sleep. Full face masks cover both the nose and mouth, making them suitable for mouth-breathers or users who need higher pressure therapy. Nasal pillow (cradle) masks use small cushions that seal inside or under the nostrils — they are the most minimal option and suit users who feel claustrophobic in larger masks. The right choice depends on your breathing pattern, sleep position, and comfort preference. Your sleep specialist or CPAP supplier can help you trial options.
How do I know what size mask I need?
CPAP mask fit is critical — a poorly fitting mask causes leaks, reduced therapy effectiveness, and discomfort. Most mask brands offer small, medium, and large sizes based on face measurements. Many starter packs include multiple cushion sizes to trial. We recommend downloading the size guide for your specific mask model (usually found on the product page) or visiting our team for a fitting assessment.
How often should I replace my CPAP mask?
Mask cushions (the silicone seal) should typically be replaced every 1–3 months as they lose elasticity and sealing performance with regular use and cleaning. The mask frame can usually last 6–12 months. Headgear stretches over time and may need replacing every 6 months. Regular replacement of consumable parts is important to maintain therapy effectiveness. Check your health fund or NDIS plan for consumable replacement allowances.
How do I clean my CPAP mask?
Clean the cushion and headgear daily with mild, fragrance-free soap and warm water. Rinse thoroughly and allow to air dry away from direct sunlight — UV exposure can degrade silicone. Do not use alcohol-based wipes, bleach, or dishwashers as these damage the materials. Weekly cleaning of the mask frame and headgear is recommended. Replace the cushion if it becomes discoloured, stiff, or shows visible deterioration.
What is the return policy?
Returns are accepted within 30 days for masks in original, unused condition. For hygiene reasons, CPAP masks that have been used (including tried on) cannot be returned. Please confirm the correct mask type and size with your sleep specialist before purchasing. If a mask arrives in the wrong size or is faulty, contact our team promptly.
