SnoreMD — Sleep Aids Australia — Anti-Snoring & CPAP Accessories

SnoreMD is a medical device that belongs to class 1 and is specifically designed as a mandibular advancement device (MAD) to alleviate snoring. By holding the lower jaw in an advanced position, it helps prevent the tongue from collapsing into the throat, reducing the likelihood of soft tissues vibrating and causing snoring. By keeping the airway unobstructed, SnoreMD ensures that the body receives adequate oxygen throughout the night, allowing for a more peaceful and restful sleep. SnoreMD prioritizes both effectiveness and comfort in its design. The product is made in Australia and comprises medical-grade copolymers and components. Unlike other similar products, SnoreMD has a sleek design that eliminates bulky side adjustments, uncomfortable acrylics, screws, rubber bands, rods, or torsion, and features a built-in cushion that's gentle on the teeth. For several decades, sleep physicians have been safely recommending mandibular advancement devices (MADs) such as SnoreMD to their patients. MADs have emerged as a successful substitute for continuous positive airway pressure machines (CPAP machines) in treating mild to moderate sleep apnea and snoring symptoms. (Non Discountable) Directions: 1. Leave SnoreMD on the factory setting of 3. Please do not pull apart prior to moulding 2. Fill a medium sized pot with water ¾ to the top and bring to the boil on the stove 3. After the water has come to the boil, turn the heat off and ensure the pot has then been carefully removed from the heated stove 4. Have your timer ready and only once the water has physically stopped bubbling, place your SnoreMD on the surface of the boiled water for a strict 30 seconds (do not submerge the device, you want SnoreMD floating at the top so it doesn’t sink or touch the sides of the pot) 5. Without applying too much pressure with the tongs, carefully remove SnoreMD by picking up the device from the back adjustment section (this is the part that fits to the back of your mouth) 6. Dip SnoreMD into a bowl of room temp water for 3 seconds to rinse residual hot water off, slowly position in your mouth and then bite down for 30 seconds.Suck in to form a vacuum and use your fingers to push the side of your gums so the warmed material moulds to your teeth and jaw 7. Remove your SnoreMD from your mouth and place into a cup of cold water, this will set the mould. You are now ready to begin using your SnoreMD. Start using at the factory setting 3. After using for two nights and becoming used to wearing your SnoreMD, (if necessary) gradually adjust in 1mm increments until your snoring starts to subside. We suggest you use your SnoreMD for 2 hours per night for the first 2-3 nights prior to wearing all night.

Frequently Asked Questions

What sleep aids are available and what do they do?
Our sleep aids range includes anti-snoring mouthpieces (Hushd, SnoreMD) that reposition the jaw to reduce snoring, the Bongo Rx EPAP device which uses exhaled breath resistance to maintain airway patency without a machine, breathing trainers (Welcare Breatheasy) that strengthen respiratory muscles, CPAP pillows (Best In Rest) designed with cutouts to accommodate CPAP mask hoses, the AYO light therapy glasses for circadian rhythm management, and air purifiers for improved sleep environment quality.
How does the Bongo Rx EPAP device work?
The Bongo Rx is an Expiratory Positive Airway Pressure (EPAP) device. It uses a small nasal seal and a valve that creates resistance during exhalation, which generates positive pressure that keeps the airway open during the subsequent inhalation. Unlike CPAP, it requires no machine, no power supply, and no hose — making it suitable for travel or as a CPAP alternative for mild sleep apnea. A sleep physician should assess whether EPAP is appropriate for your level of sleep apnea.
Will an anti-snoring mouthpiece work for me?
Anti-snoring mouthpieces (mandibular advancement devices) work by repositioning the lower jaw slightly forward during sleep, which opens the airway and reduces the vibration that causes snoring. They are effective for many people with primary snoring or mild sleep apnea, but are not a substitute for CPAP therapy in people with moderate-to-severe obstructive sleep apnea. If you have not had a sleep study, we recommend speaking with your doctor before choosing a sleep aid.
Can sleep aids be funded through NDIS or Aged Care?
Some sleep aids may be funded under NDIS Consumables or Aged Care Home Care Packages when recommended by a treating health professional as part of a sleep health plan. Eligibility varies by product type. Our team can provide NDIS-compliant invoices and advise on funding options. Contact us on 1300 216 888.
What is the return policy?
Returns are accepted within 30 days for products in original, unused condition. For hygiene reasons, mouthpieces and nasal devices that have been used cannot be returned. If a product arrives faulty or incorrect, we will resolve it promptly.
