About This Product

Getting out of bed is where a lot of people run out of support. This rail gives you a handle to pull against as you sit up, and a swing out arm that moves with you as you get to your feet. The arm swings 19 inches past the bed and pivots 180 degrees, which makes the transfer across to a wheelchair or walker much easier to control. It supports a user weight up to 136kg. It fits most traditional beds. It also works with platform beds where the slats run lengthwise, and beds with slats running across the bed where the gaps are 5 inches or less, so check your bed base before you order. The swing out arm can be fitted to either side of the rail during assembly, so set it up on the side you actually get out of. Height adjusts from 21 to 24 inches measured from the floor, and 17.5 to 22.5 inches measured from the mattress base. An organiser pouch hangs off the rail for a remote, a book or medication. Key features: - Swing out arm pivots 180 degrees and reaches 19 inches past the bed - Arm can be assembled on either side of the rail - Supports a user weight up to 136kg - Height adjusts 21 to 24 inches from the floor - Organiser pouch for a remote, book or medication - Fits most traditional beds and many platform beds

Frequently Asked Questions

Can bed rails be funded through NDIS or Aged Care?
Yes. Bed rails and bed sticks are funded under NDIS Low Cost Assistive Technology (they typically fall well under the $1,500 threshold) and can also be included in Aged Care Home Care Packages. Our team can provide a quote addressed to your plan manager or support coordinator.
Will this bed rail fit my bed?
Compatibility depends on the rail type and your bed. Hook-type and dropside rails slide between the mattress and base — they work with most standard beds but not platform or slatted bases without a solid base underneath. Check the maximum mattress depth and base type in the product specifications. If in doubt, contact our team before ordering.
Are bed rails safe to use at home?
Bed rails, when correctly fitted and matched to the user, significantly reduce the risk of rolling out of bed and assist with repositioning. It is important to choose a rail that fits correctly — gaps between the rail and mattress can present an entrapment risk. Our pharmacist-led team can help you choose the right rail for your situation, and we recommend an OT assessment for anyone with high fall risk.
How long does delivery take?
In-stock orders are dispatched the next business day. Standard delivery is 2–5 business days to most metro areas. Express options are available at checkout.
What is the return policy?
Returns are accepted within 30 days for products in original, unused condition in their original packaging. If you receive a faulty or incorrect product, we will resolve it promptly.
