About This Product

The Allegro Alto is a compact, medium sized heavy duty patient lifting hoist built for institutional care and for home situations where a higher capacity lift is needed. With a 200kg safe working load it handles bariatric transfers that are beyond most domestic hoists, yet it stays manageable at 46kg with a footprint that works in ordinary rooms. Like the Sonata, the Alto uses Space Link technology. The yoke lets a person be rotated through a full 360 degrees at maximum lift height, which makes positioning over a bed, chair or commode far easier and safer for the carer, and gives the person more space than most larger lifters offer. The Alto adds electric base width adjustment, so the carer opens and closes the legs at the press of a button rather than with a manual lever. That matters mid-transfer, when one hand is steadying the person and the other is guiding the hoist. A generous yoke height range from 300mm right up to 1920mm covers lifts from the floor through to high beds. The Alto is tested and complies with Australian Standard AS ISO 10535-2002. Key features: • 200kg safe working load for heavy duty and bariatric transfers • Electric base width adjustment operated at the press of a button • Space Link technology rotates the person through 360 degrees at full lift height • Yoke height range of 300mm to 1920mm covers floor pickups to high beds • 130mm under-bed clearance • More patient space than most larger sized lifters • Tested and complies with AS ISO 10535-2002

Frequently Asked Questions

What are manual lifting aids used for?
Manual lifting aids help carers transfer or reposition a person with limited mobility without using unsafe manual handling techniques. Products like the Flexi Move Long and Mini Stretcher allow carers to slide or transfer a person in bed or between surfaces with significantly reduced physical effort, lowering the risk of carer injury and improving the comfort of the person being transferred.
Can manual lifting aids be funded through NDIS or Aged Care?
Yes. Manual lifting and transfer aids are commonly funded under NDIS Assistive Technology or Aged Care Home Care Packages when recommended by an occupational therapist as part of a manual handling or home modification assessment. Our team can provide NDIS-compliant invoices and support the funding process.
Do carers need training to use these products?
While manual transfer aids are designed to be intuitive, basic training in safe patient handling technique is strongly recommended for anyone using these products. An occupational therapist or physiotherapist can advise on correct use during a home assessment. Correct technique reduces injury risk for both the carer and the person being moved.
What is the return policy?
Returns are accepted within 30 days for products in original, unused condition. If a product arrives faulty or incorrect, we will resolve it promptly. Contact our team before purchasing if you need guidance on which product is appropriate for your transfer scenario.
