Which wipes are right for personal care vs incontinence care?
For personal hygiene, baby wipes and skin care wipes (fragrance-free, with moisturiser) are gentle enough for daily face, hand, and body use. For incontinence care, incontinence-specific wipes and bath-in-bed cloths are designed for more thorough cleansing without skin irritation. Antibacterial wipes (e.g. Clinell) are for surface and equipment disinfection — not for skin use.
What's the difference between nitrile, vinyl, and latex gloves?
Nitrile gloves are latex-free, puncture-resistant, and suitable for personal care and clinical use — they're the most commonly recommended option. Vinyl gloves are latex-free and cost-effective, suitable for light personal care tasks. Latex gloves offer excellent sensitivity and durability but are not suitable for people with latex allergies. Powder-free options are preferred for personal care to reduce skin irritation.
