About This Product

Forearm crutches carry the load through the forearm and the hand rather than the armpit, which is why they suit longer term use. These have an aluminium frame, so they are light to swing through. They come in three sizes, Youth, Adult and Tall, so you can match the crutch to the person rather than the other way around. Both sections adjust. The hand to floor section sets the handle height, and the palm grip to arm cuff section sets where the cuff sits on your forearm. Get both right and your wrist stays neutral. The ergonomic handles spread pressure across the palm instead of one narrow line, the rubber tips are slip resistant, and a dual silencer keeps the rattle down. Key features: - Lightweight aluminium construction - Dual height adjustment: hand to floor, and palm grip to arm cuff - Ergonomic handles spread pressure across the hand - Slip resistant rubber tips - Dual silencer - Three sizes: Youth, Adult and Tall

Frequently Asked Questions

Can crutches be funded through NDIS or Aged Care?
Yes, in many cases. Crutches can be funded under NDIS Low Cost Assistive Technology without requiring a full assistive technology assessment. They may also be covered under an Aged Care Home Care Package. Our team can assist with quotes and invoicing for plan managers and support coordinators.
What's the difference between elbow crutches and underarm crutches?
Elbow (forearm) crutches have a cuff that wraps around your forearm below the elbow, giving you more freedom of movement and making them more suitable for long-term daily use. Underarm crutches rest under the armpit and provide more support, making them common for short-term post-injury recovery. Your physiotherapist or OT can advise on which type suits your situation best.
How do I choose the right size?
For elbow crutches, the handgrip should sit at wrist height when you stand with your arms relaxed at your side, and the cuff should sit about 25–50mm below your elbow. For underarm crutches, there should be a 2–3 finger gap between the padded top and your armpit to avoid nerve damage. If you're unsure which size fits, contact our team and we'll help you select correctly.
How long does delivery take?
In-stock orders are dispatched the next business day. Standard delivery is 2–5 business days to most metro areas. Express options are available at checkout. Rural and remote deliveries may take slightly longer.
Can I return them if they don't suit?
Returns are accepted within 30 days for products that are brand new and unused in their original packaging. We recommend confirming the correct size with our team before ordering. If you receive a faulty or incorrect product, we'll resolve it promptly.
