What's the difference between a barrier cream and a skin wash?
A skin wash (or cleansing foam/lotion) is used to clean the skin during incontinence care or personal hygiene routines — often designed to be no-rinse and gentle on the skin's pH. A barrier cream or protection foam is applied after cleansing to form a protective layer on the skin, preventing moisture and body waste from causing breakdown or irritation. Both are often used together as part of a skin care routine.
Why is skin care especially important for incontinence?
Prolonged contact with urine or faecal matter can strip the skin's natural protective acid mantle, leading to irritation, redness, and breakdown (incontinence-associated dermatitis). Regular cleansing with a pH-balanced wash and applying a barrier cream after each change helps maintain skin integrity. Products containing creatine, zinc oxide, or panthenol are commonly recommended by clinicians and our pharmacist team.
How long does delivery take?
In-stock orders are dispatched the next business day. Standard delivery is 2–5 business days to most metro areas. Express options are available at checkout. Rural and remote deliveries may take slightly longer. Orders over $500 get a $25 delivery credit, taken off automatically at checkout.
Can I return it if it doesn't suit?
Returns are accepted within 14 days of delivery for products that are brand new and unopened in their original packaging. If you have sensitive skin, we recommend trialling a smaller size first.
